Organic bajra upma rava is a nutritious and versatile ingredient made from organic pearl millet (bajra), following organic farming practices. Upma rava, also known as semolina or rava, is a coarse flour typically made from durum wheat, but bajra upma rava offers a gluten-free alternative that incorporates organic pearl millet.
Pearl millet, or bajra, is a gluten-free whole grain rich in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. It offers numerous health benefits, including aiding digestion, promoting weight loss, and regulating blood sugar levels.
To prepare upma using bajra upma rava, simply roast the rawa in a pan until lightly golden, then set it aside. In another pan, sauté onions, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies until the onions are translucent. Add chopped vegetables such as carrots, peas, and bell peppers, and cook until tender.
Next, add water or broth along with the roasted rawa and cook until the rawa absorbs the liquid and becomes soft and fluffy. Season with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices, and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
